The spokeswoman Natalie Connor of the anti-virus company said, “Even visiting any of these named websites can expose your computer to virus or infection and can put your personal information into the hands of unwanted people.”
“What people don’t realise is when you type in a website, you’re bringing down information on a page and with it could be malware,” News.com.au quoted her as saying.
She further added that they do not want to scare people but want to make people aware about such things and educate them to protect themselves.
Norton Safe Web, a website that analysis websites’ security risks, has helped compile this list. It has also been discovered that these sites had 18,000 threats and around 40 per cent sites had more than 20,000 threats a part from this, 75 per cent of websites on the list were found to be spreading malware for over six months.
Sites on deer hunting, catering, skating and legal services are also under great threat due to this malware.
These sites are harmful because Hackers can use it to obtain personal information using keystroke-logging software from both PCs and Mac computers. As we all know that hackers are increasing the dread of cyber crime rapidly.
