CII has realized the huge employment and business potential for the state of Gujarat in the ITeS services sector, particularly in the field of outsourcing. CII has, in the past, organized successful BPO Summits that primarily focused on promoting outsourcing entrepreneurship as a strategy to harness the enormous employment and human resource potential of the sector. The BPO Summit 2008 will be held in Ahmedabad on 22 February, 2008 with the objective of furthering investor’s interest in Gujarat in the field of outsourcing services.Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat has been requested to be the Chief Guest on this occasion

Objectives of the summit

The summit aims at addressing the following issues

(1) Projecting Gujarat as the most favored BPO destination in the country
(2) Showcasing the innovative BPO success stories in Gujarat to inspire the prospective entrepreneurs to think out of the box
(3) Engaging with the BPOs in the state to help them understand the process of scaling up the business
(4) Highlight and understand the challenges faced by the ITeS sector in the state, which can be the taken up for redressal by the CII Task Force on BPOs.
